She believes that each person deserves to have a therapy experience tailored to their needs She works with clients of all ages who face challenges with anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, life changes, and self-esteem. Dr. Laventure believes in the motto of the three “E’s”, that is, to Educate, Encourage, and Empower those she works with through the formation of respectful partnerships aimed at specific goals. She helps her clients to explore insight into their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, develop tools, and design actions plans. Dr. Laventure incorporates evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Management, and Play Therapy Techniques.
Dr. Laventure received her doctorate in Social Work from Tulane University and has been in the field working as a psychotherapist, case manager, and school social worker for over 14 years. She has worked with children, teens, adults of all ages, and families. She is fluent in Haitian-Creole and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends and remaining active serving as a youth mentor in her community. |
